The Elder Scrolls Editions
The Elder Scrolls series is known under various names which are mostly the names of its various game editions. The games is developed by the Maryland based Bethesda SoftWorks a game development and entertainment company founded in 1986 and owned by ZeniMax Media.
The Elder Scrolls series consists of about 4 games all of which are interlinked with each other and maintain complex references to certain details. These details which must be memorized by any player in order to successfully complete any quest in the said games include details which concern geography, stories and the names of certain identities of note in the Elder Scrolls series.
The first set of Elder Scrolls editions was titled: The Elder Scrolls Arena. The game was developed in 1994 and it was described by pundits as at the time as the first computer role playing game for the Microsoft MS–DOS operating system. The game take splace in the continent known as Tamriel, an important continent in the Elder Scrolls world of various games. The game starts out in the beginners dungeon which the player must get out of before starting the game proper. This dungeon which is the first place for people to start the game may be difficult for beginners to get out of because they are often neutralized by powerful opponents when they hang around too long.
The Elder Scrolls 2nd Edition is know as Daggerfall and the game was released in the year 1996, 2 years after the first of the Elder Scrolls Series was released into existence. The main element people commend about this game is the freedom it accords to players which partake in the game. You can choose various styles and character which you want to adopt during the process of the game. These styles and characters include good personalities as well as bad ones and the ones you ultimately choose are left to your discretion.
The Elder Scrolls 3rd edition is known as Morrowind was released in the year 2002 for two game environments. One of these environments was Microsoft Windows while the other environment was the Microsoft Xbox. That same year the game received over 60 awards the most recognized of these awards of course was the Game of the Year 2002 award given by various gamer magazines at the time. Morrowind also contains the two expansion packs called Tribunal and Bloodmoon . The 3rd edition is set in Warden which in turn is an island that can be found in the Drummer province of Morrowind. Morrowind of course is part of the Elder Scrolls world of Tamriel. The whole Morrowind edition takes place in a much smaller region than the previous editions of the game.
The Elder Scrolls 4th edition is one of the Elder Scrolls editions released for various gaming formats from the day it was created. Officially it is known as The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion or Oblivion. The games has been released for the following game environments : Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 editions. The 4th edition contains various advanced features which are not evident in other editions of the game and even in the contemporary gaming environments in existence.
