Improvements for Your Nintendo Wii Game Console
If you’ve bought a Nintendo Wii game console recently, chances are you’re already experience how much fun your gaming experience is on it. However, you may not be having the best experience you possibly can. While you can make do with just the Nintendo Wii game console in your gaming setup, there’s upgrades you can make to enhance your experience and make your video gaming days even more enjoyable.
Buy a TV
One of the most useful things you can do to upgrade your experience with your Nintendo Wii game console is to buy a new television. If the television you’ve been using for video games is small, any sort of change to a large television will make a big difference. Televisions can now handle a variety of inputs, including component video, which will result in graphics that are sharp and bright.
Be careful which television you buy, though, as some televisions, notably projection televisions and plasma screens have issues with burn-in of still video game images. But you won’t have to spend thousands on a plasma to get a television that’s great for your Nintendo Wii game console. A simple CRT television with component video plugs will work fine.
Upgrade Your Internet Connection
The Nintendo Wii game console boasts built-in support for wireless internet, so it helps if you can set it up to connect online. You’ll be able to play against opponents over the internet if your game supports it, and Nintendo has an internet service that has both entertainment channels, information channels, and even downloads of classic video games for a small fee. But you won’t be able to enjoy them without a good internet connection. Because of the amount of bandwidth required to really enjoy online gaming, even if you have a dial-up connection, it’s time to move up to broadband if you want to get the most out of your Nintendo Wii game console.
Get a Game Boy
It may sound funny to recommend purchasing a handheld game system when you have something as impressive as a Nintendo Wii game console, but chances are, purchasing a Game Boy will come in handy when playing your GameCube. The Wii offers wireless connectivity with your Game Boy DS out of the box, and on previous Nintendo systems, games were made that allowed players to use their Game Boys to add to their gaming experience, and even games that required the use of a Game Boy as your controller! At the very least, Nintendo is likely to offer some way for your Nintendo Wii game console to help you play your Game Boy games on the big screen. But whether your upgrade is as large as a new LCD television or as small as a handheld video game system, a few upgrades will definitely add to your experience.
